In collaboration with ICVL Studio, Unveil'd presents an afternoon of talks dealing with contemporary photobook practices and publishing.
14:00 - 14:30 | Julia Borissova
Coinciding with her exhibition Beyond the Seen, a talk will be screened by Russia-based
Borissova, detailing her approach to conceptual photographic techniques. During recent years she has focused her artistic expression through photobook projects. Her talk will be introduced by Alejandro Acin (ICVL Studio), art director for the exhibition.
14:45 - 15:30 | Amak Mahmoodian
Born in Shiraz (Iran) in 1980, the same year as the Islamic revolution, Mahmoodian is a photographer, film maker and curator now living in the UK. In this talk, she will discuss her new book Shenasnameh.
15:45 - 16:30 | Paula Roush
An artist based in London, Roush founded MSDM Publishing and is the curator for ə /uh/ -books: a project space for photobook publishing at the London South Bank
University where she also teaches photobook publishing.
